Borrowed from Arabic أَرْجُوَان (ʔarjuwān), from Aramaic אַרְגְּוָונָא / ܐܰܪܓܽܘܳܢܳܐ (ʾargəwānā), from Akkadian 𒅈𒂵𒌋𒌋𒉡 (argamannu).
