arrendator (plural arrendators)

  1. (historical) A person who farms revenue for a local municipality under the Russian government.
    • 2008, Mordekhai Nadav, ‎Mark Mirsky, The Jews of Pinsk, 1506 to 1880, page 207:
      The arrendator also had a large number of oxen, cows, and horses, as well as workers and servants. This staff was completely under the arrendator's command, if the complaint of his neighbor, the Orthodox priest, is to be believed.
