[edit]From English bulletin, from French bulletin (“bulletin”), from Old French bullette (“seal; sealed letter”) or possibly a borrowing from Italian bollettino (“bulletin”), both from Latin bulla (“seal”). Doublet of bwl (“Papal bull”).
