From cervo, from Lua error in Module:etymology at line 170: Old Occitan (pro) is not set as an ancestor of Catalan (ca) in Module:languages/data/2. The ancestor of Catalan is Old Catalan (roa-oca)., from Latin cervus, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱr̥h₂wós, from *ḱerh₂- (horn) The form cérvol is the result of a popular hyper-correction of the older form[1].
