- «¡Ai un gallego!» dirán os homes / I as mullerciñas da pobración / E ti diráslles: «Sepia o que o pense / Qu'un galleguiño d'eiquí d'Ourense / A moita honra , carafio, son»
- «Ouch! A Galician!», will say men and women of the locality; and you'll say to them: «Let them know to the thinking ones, that a Galician, from here from Ourense, a great honour, Gosh, I am.»
