Old Irish[edit]

Pronunciation[edit]

  • IPA(key): /dusˈɡlaðʲ/ (with eclipsis) or /dusˈklaðʲ/ (without it)
Note: s- triggers eclipsis in some texts but not in others. Since eclipsis of c is not shown orthographically anyway, there is no way to know whether the scribe intended for the c to be eclipsed in this form or not.

Verb[edit]

dus·claid

  1. third-person singular present indicative deuterotonic of do·claid with class A infixed pronoun s- (her, it f): ((s)he) roots it f up
