Etymology

Borrowed from Italian scroccare, from Italian crocco, of (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 370: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "gem" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E. origin, equivalent to escroc +‎ -er. Cognate with English crook.
