Etymology[edit]

By surface analysis, för (for) +‎ fulla (full) +‎ muggar (mugs). Possibly originally nautical lingo, from external waste storage tanks ("muggar") filling up with water at high speeds. In modern times, mugg is still colloquial for toilet.
