Megleno-Romanian[edit]

Alternative forms[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Probably ultimately from Latin famelicus, through a Vulgar Latin root *flamenicus, or alternatively from a root *famulentus, from famēs, through an intermediate form *flamuentus. A less likely origin is flammabundus. Compare Romanian flămând.
