Etymology

From Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "fiu-fin-pro" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., a diminutive of now-obsolete hobu. Further origin unknown, but possibly a Germanic loan, or from some descendant of Proto-Indo-European *h₁éḱwos. Compare eg. Ancient Greek ἵππος (híppos, horse). Cognate with Finnish hevonen.
