Etymology

Chosen for the rhyme. The expression stems from a jocular wordplay on the slogan "If It Fits, It Ships" adopted by the USPS for its holiday advertising campaign in 2009. Its earliest known appearance is from an image macro series posted on the ICanHasCheezburger blog on October 10th, 2011.
