Finnish[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Compound of kaakeli ‎(ceramic tile) and uuni ‎(oven, stove). The word was originally modified from Swedish kakelugn to the form kakluuni, which later developed to a more Finnish-sounding kaakeliuuni. Both are used in current language.
