In Singapore, this word is usually spelled kan ni na or abbreviated to KNN. The variant spellings kan ni nia and kan lin nia, which follow Penang and Taiwanese Hokkien pronunciation and their Pe̍h-ōe-jī orthography, are less common but also used.
