Finnish[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Borrowed from dialectal Swedish klobb (compare standard Swedish klubb (“lump, clump, dumpling”)).
Pronunciation[edit]
Noun[edit]
kloppi
Usage notes[edit]
- (stripling): Sometimes translated into English with "rascal" or "scamp", which is misleading in the sense that kloppi is not mischievous by definition.
