Etymology

From Proto-Tocharian *kuk(ä)le, from Proto-Indo-European *kʷukʷlo- < *kʷekʷlóm, compare *kʷékʷlos, also the ultimate origin of English wheel, Ancient Greek κύκλος (kúklos). Compare Tocharian A kukäl.
