Etymology[edit]

The word was invented by the developer of the game in 1996; possibly inspired by the word pölkky (block of wood).

  1. A recreational lawn game played with numbered wooden pegs (called keila), somewhat similar to skittles.
  2. The "master" peg in this game, which is used to throw at the numbered pegs to earn points.
