[edit]From a verb gũciarithia.
Hinde (1904) records husiarishia and mwitcharithia as equivalents of English midwife in “Jogowini dialect” of Kikuyu, listing also Swahili mzalisha as their equivalent.[1]
Pronunciation
[edit]- As for Tonal Class, Benson (1964) classifies this term into Class 4 with a trisyllabic stem, together with kĩhengere, kĩariũngũ, and so on.
