[edit]From Late Latin metempsychosis, from Koine Greek μετεμψύχωσις (metempsúkhōsis), from μετεμψυχόομαι (metempsukhóomai, “of a soul, to pass from one body to another”), from μετα- (meta-) + ἐν (en, “in”) + ψυχή (psukhḗ, “soul”).
