From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Middle French metoposcopie, and its source, (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Late Latin metoposcopia, ultimately from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek μέτωπον (métōpon, forehead) +‎ -scopy.
