From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *en-gaska; variant ngaj from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *en-gānja, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰeh₁- (leave) (compare English go, Ancient Greek κιχάνω (kikhánō, to meet with, arrive at), Avestan 𐬰𐬀𐬰𐬁𐬨𐬌 (zazāmi), Sanskrit जहाति (jáhāti)).
