Aromanian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Several theories exist: from a Vulgar Latin root *nōda, resulting either from Latin nōdus crossed with or influenced by coadã in East Romance, or from Latin nates crossed with coda. Compare Romanian noadă (coccyx).
