  1. (Ifẹ, derogatory, ethnic slur, historical) a term used to refer to people of ethnic groups to the north of Ifẹ̀, including the Nupe people, Hausa people, and Ìyàgbà people.

Usage notes[edit]

  • While the Ìyàgbà people are today regarded as a Yoruba-subethnic group like the people of , they were not regarded as the same people when this term was widely used.
