Etymology

Borrowed from Japanese 親分, literally "foster parent".

Noun

oyabun (plural oyabuns or oyabun)

The absolute leader of a yakuza clan. He has an advisor called a saiko-komon. Besides that he has an army of advocates, accountants, secretaries and advisors.
