Etymology[edit]
From Philippine Spanish pancit cantón, where the former is from Philippine Spanish pancit which is from Hokkien, while the latter word is from Spanish Cantón, from Portuguese Cantão, from an old romanization of Mandarin 廣東/广东 (Guǎngdōng).
