English

Verb

pilgering

  1. present participle of pilger

Noun

pilgering (uncountable)

  1. A cold-rolling process used in the shaping of metal tube and pipe. It involves two circular dies, with an uneven u-shape along the circumferential axis, being brought into contact with a large pipe. The dies are rolled backwards and forwards to apply pressure all around the pipe, to reduce its diameter to the desired size[1].
