   • 1890, Nikola Tordinac, Odabrane crtice i pripoviesti, (Matica hrvatska, Zagreb), p. 119:

     Bilo noći, bilo danju, ili pri poslu ili na počinku, vaviek ga iste muke mučile, a te muke bio stari kožuh.

     Either at night or by day, at work or at rest, he was always troubled by the same worries, and that worries were the old sheepskin.
