porcar + -eață, or possibly from Vulgar Latin, Late Latin porcaricia < porcāricius (attested in Medieval Latin), ultimately from Latin porcus. Compare Aromanian purcãreatsã, Italian porcareccia, Portuguese porcariço, Spanish porqueriza, Old French porcherece.
