From porquerizo or from a Vulgar Latin, Late Latin porcāricia, from porcāricius (attested in Medieval Latin), derived from Latin porcus (pig). Compare Italian porcareccia, Portuguese porcariço, Romanian porcăreață, Old French porcherece.
