[edit]From Proto-Albanian *kaka or *keka. Related to Lithuanian kankù, kákti (“to seize, reach”), Latvian kacèt (“to grasp”) and Proto-Slavic *čekati (“to expect, to wait”).[1] Alternatively a variant of cek (“to touch”).
