Etymology

From East Cree *kwiihkwahaacheew (modern Cree ᑮᐦᑲᐧᐦᐋᐦᑫᐤ (kîhkwahâhkêw, wolverine); compare Ojibwe gwiingwa'aage), assimilated to quick +‎ hatch.
