From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Turkish rakı, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Arabic عَرَقِيّ (ʕaraqiyy, of liquor), from عَرَق (ʕaraq, arrack, arak, literally condensate), which refers to an ouzo-like liqueur made of raisins. Compare Albanian raki.
