Etymology[edit]

The first sense is the same as German reklamieren, English reclaim, French réclamer, from Latin reclamare ‎(to call back). Used in Swedish since 1682. The second sense is the same as Danish reklamere, German reklamieren, based on reklam ‎(advertisement). Used in Swedish since 1915.
