Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *wradjā, related to rrënjë,[1] or from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *h₃érsos, from the root *ers- (behind; tail). Cognate to Ancient Greek ὄρρος (órrhos), Old Norse ars, rass, Old English ears (buttocks), Old Irish err (tail, end).
