Etymology

From shaj, ultimately from çaj, with -r doubling for expressive reasons. Compare Hittite [Term?] (/⁠šarra⁠/, break, rupture, divide), Latin serra (id), Lithuanian sėris (filament).[1] Alternatively from Latin serra; compare Aromanian sharã.
