softroader (plural softroaders)

  1. A vehicle, such as an SUV or wagon, that is not quite as capable as a full-blown off-roader but a step above 'regular' cars (on-roaders), because of increased ground clearance with tyre, wheel, and suspension adjustments and skid plates.
