Uncertain, but probably of (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "sla" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E. origin; compare Romanian strai (clothing, garment), which may or may not be the same word, but is likely related. Cf. Slovene srajca (shirt), Serbo-Croatian tranja (rag, tatters). Alternatively from a Vulgar Latin *sternium, or from Latin stramen.
