- (intransitive or transitive) to scrounge; to subtly solicit a reward by offering unsolicited help
- Jukuʼ kutirujinne ― I scrounged this fish (e.g., as a reward for helping out).
- (intransitive) to subtly beg; to try to get something by appealing to someone's pity
- Punna tenamo nuttiru tenamo nunnganre
- If you no longer subtly beg, you no longer eat.
