Usage notes[edit]
- Like the loose meaning of shirt in American English, but also extending to sweaters and the like. A non-outerwear, "everyday" upper-body garment worn for warmth, usually pulled over the head.
- A T-shirt would often be qualified as t-shirt or t-tröja.
- Tjocktröja excludes T-shirts and the like. A (usually comparatively thicker) "outer" garment within the category of tröja.
