From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *tull-, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *teu(H)-(lo-) (“to swell”). Cognate to Ancient Greek τύλος (túlos, “torus, wale”) and Latin tullius (“swell, flood, gush, jet”), Middle High German dolle, dulle (“foliage”) and Swedish tull (“pine cone”).[1]
