Albanian

Etymology

From Vulgar Latin vittula, diminutive of vitta (band, headband),[1] although very uncertain since the word is not attested anywhere in old manuscripts or in the Romance languages. Çabej considers it an inherited word.[2]

Noun

vetull f (plural vetulla, definite vetulla, definite plural vetullat)

  1. eyebrow
  2. overhang
  3. arched part of something
