Usage notes[edit]

This word indicates a relatively large commercial establishment that may have several vineyards and/or purchases wine, grapes or grape juice from farmers. An individual farm dedicated to viticulture is viinitila and a single vineyard is viinitarha. The processing plant in which wine is produced from grapes by pressing, fermenting and aging may be called viininvalmistamo.
