Etymology

Adams compares Ancient Greek δύω (dúō) and Sanskrit उपादुत्य (upādutya, “[that which] is to be put on”), from Proto-Indo-European *dw-em-, perhaps by enlargement from *deH-.

   • (282a4^A) :

     śaiṣṣe se kleśanmaṣṣai wämyu räskre kāswasā : aṅkaiṃ placsa sewīträ atkwal ṣpä

     ‘This world is roughly covered by the loeprosy [?] of kleśas and because of false speech it sew’s with atkwal’
