Etymology
Of Mongolic origin. From Old Anatolian Turkish [script needed] (yeke, “large”), from Middle Mongol ᠶᠡᠬᠡ (yeke)[1], from Proto-Mongolic *yeke whence also Modern Mongolian их (ix, “great”).
Attested since the 13th century[1]
