From Ottoman Turkish قهوه‌جی (kahveci), equivalent to καφές (kafés, coffee) +‎ -τζής (-tzís), both themselves from Ottoman Turkish قهوه (kahve) and Ottoman Turkish ـجی (-ci) respectively.
