Inherited from Classical Persian صَلَّیٰ اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّم (sallā llāhu alayhi wasallam), from Arabic صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (ṣallā llāhu ʕalayhi wasallama).
