Etymology[edit]

From сра́ка f (sráka, arse) +‎ -о- (-o-) +‎ па́д(ати) (pád(aty), to fall). Compare снігопа́д (snihopád), листопа́д (lystopád).

First mentioned as early as 1920s, in one of Serhiy Yefremov's notebooks, as one of the "vulgarities" that Ahatanhel Krymsky wanted to add to his dictionary.[1]
