Cognate with Kazakh тырма (tyrma), Uzbek tirma (rake).

Compare also with Kyrgyz тырмоо (tırmoo, rake), Southern Altai тырмууш (tïrmuuš, rake), Turkish tırmık (rake), Azerbaijani dırmıq (rake) - these are derived from the same root, but using other affixes.
