[edit]From Югославия (Jugoslavija) + -изъм (-izǎm), when referring to Yugoslavia, or else юг (jug, “south”) + -о- (-o-, excrescent, for euphony) + слав (slav, “Slav”, root abbreviated from e.g. славянски) + -изъм (-izǎm, “-ism”).
