    Inherited from Prakrit *𑀪𑀻𑀟 (*bhīḍa) (compare 𑀪𑀺𑀟𑀇 (bhiḍaï, to meet, fight)), from Ashokan Prakrit *𑀪𑀺𑀝𑁆 (*bhiṭ).
