Possibly from Sanskrit मनोहर (manohara, “fascinating, attractive, charming, beautiful”) + -ई (-ī, “feminine suffix”).[1]

- (music) Thai classical ensemble (medium or large) meant for entertainment rather than ritual, which combines instruments from the piphat (ปี่พาทย์, percussion and flute) with those of the khruang sai (วงเครื่องสาย, or string ensemble); Thai grand orchestra.
